In chapter 4, Landon is filling out his college application to UNC. The essay questions, as follows, are fairly typical:
If you could meet one person in history, who would it be and why?
Name the most significant influence in your life and why you feel that way.
What do you look for in a role model and why?
Consider the above questions. Pick one and answer it. I am not looking for an essay, rather a decent sized paragraph.
I would meet Jesus to see if people from that time were short. How many people can say the met Jesus without being in a drug induced coma.
ReplyDeleteThe most significant influences in my life are my parents. They support and advise me and let me make my own choices and decisions. I know that I can trust them and that they will always do the right thing thus I believe that they will always give me the best advice.
ReplyDeleteThe one person in history I would like to meet would have to be Gerard Way. he is my favorite artist/singer, I love him to death and is in my favorite band. :)
ReplyDeleteThe one person who has influenced me in life is my mother, from the time I could pick up a pencial and draw, she kept telling me to never give up and keep try. (that was a long time ago.)
what i look for in a role model is someone who helps you, never gives up you, and will always be there for you.
when looking for a role model i look for someone whos is very indepent. The reason why i look for someone indepent because they dont have to worry about depending on someone. In a role model i also look for kindness and being helpful. The reason for those two because its always great for someone to be kind. Also for someone being helpful, you know you can ask them for help, and they might be willing to help you. Thats what i look for in a role model.

A role model in my life would be my grandma. She's very independent and works all the time without complaining. She doesn't need anyone to help her and when something bad happens, instead of giving up, she keeps her head up and does what she needs to do to make things better.
ReplyDeleteWhat i look for in a role model is someone who is very independent. My mom would defidently be my role model. She's always been there for me and gave me great advice. My dad is also one of my role models. They let me be independent, but they somehow still tought me a lot in life.

ReplyDeleteA role model in my life would be my mom. She's always happy and it seems like no matter how bad things are she always has a smile on her face. We fight sometimes but I know that at the end of the day she's one of the few people that I can depend on. That is what I look for in a role model someone that is dependable, that wont leave you as soon as things get a little bad. That is why my mom is my role model.
ReplyDeleteThe person I would meet is probably Dale Earnhardt. He sounded like cool dude. My sister's fiance is a huge Jr. fan and he went to Afghanistan in February so I've become a pretty big Earnhardt fan so I think it would be cool to meet him
ReplyDeleteSomeone I would like to meet would be ALL of the Carolina Panther rookies. Because even though the Panthers are not a very good team, they are still my favorites. I have already met all of the vetran players so I would love to meet the new 2010 rookies.
ReplyDeleteI would like to meet, Jim Morrison, because he was a wonderful poet, and i would like to ask him a few questions about his life in the band because i love the doors. My mom is a big Influence in my life becuase she keeps me on my feet and does not let me forget who i am. I look for someone that knows what thay want in life and that has a good outlook on life and eveything like that.
ReplyDeleteThe most influental person in my life would have to be my grandma. Shes traveled, met Donald Trump, been on CSPAN and made something of herself. Shes taught me things in life about being spiritual and positive and not letting the negative things over power me. Shes also taught me that if your actions are negative then your outcome is going to be negative.
ReplyDeleteThe most significant influence in my life would be my grandma. She's always been there and guides me in the right direction. She's independent and looks on the bright side of things. She's always on my side, but also lets me know when I'm wrong. She's been through so much and still is one of the happiest people i know. She is my most significant influence.
